Sobre DogLeg

A dogleg is not just any shift.

It is a configuration designed for real driving: first gear is moved off the main axis, leaving the most used gears—second and third—aligned for faster, more precise, more mechanical shifts.

It is a competition solution. Functional, direct, uncompromising.

At Dogleg Timers, we bring that same philosophy to the wrist.

Watches built from the parts out.

The starting point is not the watch. It is the car.

We start with the instruments that define the character of each machine—the tachometer, the dashboard gauge cluster, the numbering scale, the interior materials. Each of those details exists for a technical reason. That reason is what ends up on the dial.

We do not interpret the history of cars. We respect it.

Clear instruments. Design born from performance.

A Dogleg Timers watch does not feature car logos or explicit references. There is no need. Every design decision has a direct technical origin in the vehicle's original instrument—the position of the redline, the color of the hands, the architecture of the dial, the finish of the case.

Those who know, know. That is the only filter that matters to us.

A car. A watch. A reference.

G Typ—Ref. 001 is born from the German bolide of '84. The G-type box, the 3.2-liter engine, the 6,700 rpm rev limiter, the VDO tachometer with the redline at 7,000 rpm. The black PVD finish on the case replicates the chrome-free language of the 80s, where all the metal was painted matte black.

The GTyp is born from an iconic architecture: an air-cooled German coupe that turned a silhouette into a reference. There is no nostalgia here. There is interpretation.

Every Dogleg starts with a simple idea:
instruments are the most intimate connection between driver and machine.

This watch does not replicate a dashboard.
It interprets it.

Typography → decade
Indices → visual rhythm
Hands → engine character
Redline → emotional limit

We do not copy cars.
We evoke them.

It is not just a watch.

It is the connection between the driver and their car brought to the wrist. The dashboard is the language of that relationship—the instruments that measure, warn, and communicate what is happening inside the machine. We evoke it through the watch.

Assembled by hand. Seiko automatic movement. Sapphire crystal. Uncompromising.
